Meet Our Staff

Christopher established his career in 2010 at private CPA firms and in addition to his private practice, currently works with a top-ten national firm. He graduated cum laude from Post University’s school of business with a B.S. in Accounting and from Sacred Heart University with an M.B.A. concentrating on Strategic Management.  Now based in Torrington, CT, he enjoys being a father and freelance photographer. 

Matthew worked a career in public safety communications for 13 years before coming to Apple Valley Tax & Accounting. He is currently working toward becoming credentialed as an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Holly, two children Renley and Harper, and volunteering his time to Scouts, CT DeMolay, and International Order of Rainbow for Girls.

Brenda balances numbers by day and entertains by singing in a band in the evenings. She graduated from Post University with a B.S. in accounting working in various manufacturing industries before deciding taxes were her passion. She brings 10+ years of experience along with good client interaction.

Rebecca Hayward joined Apple Valley Tax & Accounting, Inc. in 2025, combining over 25 years of customer service, Account Management, and Financial Aid Counseling. She earned her MS Degree in Organizational Leadership from Goodwin College in 2019. Rebecca is known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and client-focused approach, which plays a key role in ensuring harmonious experiences with the clients and staff.
